Bewitching 1890s Victorian mourning mantel cape in a deliciously inky black featuring exaggerated shoulders (can't help but think of Dorothy O'Hara!), lush fringe trim and a high-low cut. Just divine with your full Victorian regalia or a delightful addition to any black dress! Fully lined, hook & eye closures at front.
MEASUREMENTS: (taken with garment lying flat; bust, waist & hips doubled for your convenience) →collar opening: 17 inches →length: 6.5 inches + fringe
ESTIMATED SIZE: One size fits most; probably best for x-small to medium.
CONDITION: Excellent antique condition with a few minor things to note. There is one half-inch section near the right shoulder where fringe has been lost; not very noticeable when worn, but please see last photo. There is some minor fabric wear to the lining around the neck, but it's not actively shattering and is completely wearable with respect. Please keep in mind this is an antique garment, which means minor signs of wear are to be expected. Any significant flaws are always noted in the description. All garments are mended, cleaned and ready to wear unless otherwise noted.
MORE INFORMATION: No maker or contents labels, but appears professionally made. The material gives the appearance of crushed velvet, but I believe it may be closely sheared Persian lamb or something similar. Dry clean only when necessary.
PLEASE NOTE: Black Cat Clothiers cannot accept returns due to fit. Please compare the detailed measurements noted above to one of your garments that fits you well. Additionally, all of our clothing is pre-owned and vintage/antique, which means each piece may feature minor signs of wear, as noted in the description. To learn more, please view our store policies.
