Absolutely bewitching, but sadly as-is, 1880s Victorian bodice featuring French jet glass beading throughout, ruffled black silk trim and a stunning, structural net overlay. A wonderful display item or inspiration piece! Fully lined, hook & eye closures at front.
MEASUREMENTS: (taken with garment lying flat; bust, waist & hips doubled for your convenience) →shoulder to shoulder: 15 inches →bust: 36 inches →waist: 32 inches →length: 18 inches →sleeve length: 24 inches →wrist: 10 inches around
ESTIMATED SIZE: Small-Medium
CONDITION: Fair antique condition; this garment presents beautifully but the silk is very fragile and dry (it almost sounds like paper when you handle it!), there are a few holes to the outer netting and the silk backing to the beaded section on the bust is shattering. This piece can be lightly handled, displayed and -maybe- worn for a brief photoshoot, but is not sturdy or wearable. Please see the rest of my shop for wearable Victorian garments! Please keep in mind this is an antique garment, which means minor signs of wear are to be expected. Any significant flaws are always noted in the description. All garments are mended, cleaned and ready to wear unless otherwise noted.
COLOR: Black and cream
MORE INFORMATION: No maker or contents labels. Appears to be made of silk, nylon and French jet.
PLEASE NOTE: Black Cat Clothiers only accepts returns if a mistake was made in describing the garment, for which we ask you to contact us within 3 days of receiving the garment. Please compare the detailed measurements noted above to one of your garments that fits you well. Please be aware all monitors display colors differently. Additionally, all of our clothing is pre-owned and vintage/antique, which means each piece may feature minor signs of wear, as noted in the description. To learn more, please view our store policies.
