Bewitchingly understated 1890s Victorian mourning bodice featuring a timeless pleat front detail, lovely rosettes studding the back hem, ruffs of sheer black floral lace and an elegant cream lace detail at the neckline. Pair with other period attire or don with faded jeans for a wonderfully strange look. Fully lined, two sets of hook & eye closures at front.
MEASUREMENTS: (taken with garment lying flat; bust, waist & hips doubled for your convenience) →shoulder to shoulder: 15.5 inches →bust: 40 inches →waist: 34 inches →length: 15.5 inches →sleeve length: 21 inches
ESTIMATED SIZE: Medium-Large; I recommend leaving 1-2 inches of room between the garment measurements and your body measurements for these antique pieces.
CONDITION: Excellent antique condition. Silk outer and cotton lining are sturdy and clean. There are a few light discolorations on the chest of the bodice, as pictured, and a bit of discoloration to one spot in the lace. Not terribly noticeable but worth noting! Please keep in mind this is an antique garment, which means minor signs of wear are to be expected. Any significant flaws are always noted in the description. All garments are mended, cleaned and ready to wear unless otherwise noted.
COLOR: Black with beige collar
MORE INFORMATION: No maker or contents labels. Appears to be made of silk faille with a cotton lining and mesh accents.
PLEASE NOTE: Black Cat Clothiers only accepts returns if a mistake was made in describing the garment, for which we ask you to contact us within 3 days of receiving the garment. Please compare the detailed measurements noted above to one of your garments (not your body measurements; clothing should allow room for movement) that fits you well. Please be aware all monitors display colors differently. Additionally, all of our clothing is pre-owned and vintage/antique, which means each piece may feature minor signs of wear, as noted in the description. To learn more, please view our store policies.
