Ethereal and timeless 1910s Edwardian crochet gloves featuring an open net construction with geometric details on the back of the hand and lovely work around the wrist, including stunning scalloped cuffs. Don with elegant gowns or a 40s frock for strange tea times. Unlined, pull-on, no closures.
MEASUREMENTS: (taken with garment lying flat) →length: 8.5 inches (from middle fingertip to wrist) →palm: 3.25 inches →wrist: 3 inches
ESTIMATED SIZE: US 5.5-6; best for shorter fingers/nails.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. There's a repair to the left palm and some discoloration at a few of the fingertips. These gloves have been soaked extensively, so I think the discoloration is there to stay -- it may be tobacco, judging from the areas of the stain. Not terribly noticeable when worn and reflected in price -- these are just so pretty! Please keep in mind this is a vintage garment, which means minor signs of wear are to be expected. Any significant flaws are always noted in the description. All garments are mended, cleaned and ready to wear unless otherwise noted.
COLOR: Off-white cream
MORE INFORMATION: No maker or contents labels. Appears to be handmade from cotton. Hand wash.
PLEASE NOTE: Black Cat Clothiers only accepts returns if a mistake was made in describing the garment, for which we ask you to contact us within 3 days of receiving the garment. Please compare the detailed measurements noted above to one of your garments (not your body measurements; clothing should allow room for movement) that fits you well. Please be aware all monitors display colors differently. Additionally, all of our clothing is pre-owned and vintage/antique, which means each piece may feature minor signs of wear, as noted in the description. To learn more, please view our store policies.
