Divinely ethereal 1910s Edwardian gown done in a fine embroidered cotton lawn fabric featuring a high, rounded neckline with ornamental crocheted buttons on the bust, ladder lace and ecru details throughout, mother of pearl buttons, and three-quarter length sleeves. So many gorgeous details throughout this piece that you don't always see! Beautiful as a special event gown for a photoshoot or a wedding dress for an antique-loving bride! Unlined, sheer and will require a slip, buttons up back.
MEASUREMENTS: (taken with garment lying flat; bust, waist & hips doubled for your convenience) →shoulder to shoulder: 15 inches →bust: 30 inches →waist: 22 inches →hips: 32 inches →length: 49.5 inches →sleeve length: 13 inches
ESTIMATED SIZE: XX-Small to X-Small; has a little more stretch than most lawn gowns, and almost fits my size 4 dressform. Narrow shoulders and sleeves!
CONDITION: Very good antique condition with a few stressed spots and tiny breaks in the fabric, but nothing that impacts overall wear. Missing the bottom button sadly, but seems to lay fine without it; could be pinned if you'd like. There is some age discoloration at the very bottom of the skirt that is not terribly noticeable when worn; I've soaked this gown twice and it's lightened both times, so it may just need another bath time once it reaches its forever home! Please keep in mind this is a vintage garment, which means minor signs of wear are to be expected. Any significant flaws are always noted in the description. All garments are mended, cleaned and ready to wear unless otherwise noted.
MORE INFORMATION: No maker or contents labels. Appears to be made of a fine cotton lawn. Hand wash cold.
PLEASE NOTE: Black Cat Clothiers cannot accept returns due to fit. Please compare the detailed measurements noted above to one of your garments that fits you well. Additionally, all of our clothing is pre-owned and vintage/antique, which means each piece may feature minor signs of wear, as noted in the description. To learn more, please view our store policies.
