Positively ethereal antique 1910s Edwardian lawn gown with all the most gorgeous details. Likely handmade for a very special bride, this gown features the finest fixings, like a multi-tiered skirt with matelasse designs, floral lace and whisper-light cotton. This gown features an interior waistband for shape and back hook & eye closures. Though she has a few flaws, this incredible piece would be perfect for a photoshoot or special event -- especially if you're braver with washing whites than I am! Unlined, hook & eye closure at back. Comes with silk belt and sheer skirt slip, though these are both quite flawed and I'm not positive they were originally part of this dress, though they were stored with it by the original owner's granddaughter for many years. Please feel free to ask for more photos! Eligible for layaway, please contact me for more details.

CONDITION: Good antique condition with some flaws to note. This garment is structurally sound and wearable with care, but does feature some staining and rusting. There is rusting on: the wired edge in the lace collar and the back hook & eye closures. There are two large stains on the front and the back of the top tier of the skirt. This gown was brown when it came to me and has been soaked for many hours. If you're braver with cleaning than I am, you may be able to lighten some of these stains, but I'm selling this garment as-is. Please keep in mind this is a vintage garment, which means minor signs of wear are to be expected. Any significant flaws are always noted in the description. All garments are mended, cleaned and ready to wear unless otherwise noted.
MORE INFORMATION: No maker or contents label, but certainly professionally made. Appears to be made of very fine cotton, possibly some silk blends.
PLEASE NOTE: Black Cat Clothiers only accepts returns if a mistake was made in describing the garment, for which we ask you to contact us within 3 days of receiving the garment. Please compare the detailed measurements noted above to one of your garments (not your body measurements; clothing should allow room for movement) that fits you well. Please be aware all monitors display colors differently. Additionally, all of our clothing is pre-owned and vintage/antique, which means each piece may feature minor signs of wear, as noted in the description. To learn more, please view our store policies.
