Absolutely stunning late 1910s Edwardian bodice crafted from a fine navy blue cotton faille fabric featuring military-inspired black silk soutache details, dramatic puff sleeves (even Anne of Green Gables would approve!), flattering front pleats and tiny floral details. Pair with wide-leg pants for a modern look or with sweeping skirts to keep it period. Fully lined, hook & closures at front.
MEASUREMENTS: (taken with garment lying flat; bust, waist & hips doubled for your convenience) →shoulder to shoulder: 14 inches →bust: 32 inches →waist: 26 inches →length: 17.5 inches →sleeve length: 18.5 inches
ESTIMATED SIZE: Small; watch the narrow shoulder!
CONDITION: Good antique condition. There are some discolorations, particularly to the front, as pictured -- a bit less dramatic in person as I've heightened the exposure and contrast so you can see. There's some fraying to the silk details, particularly at the back of the collar. All in all, this is a lovely, rare and super wearable piece. Please keep in mind this is a vintage garment, which means minor signs of wear are to be expected. Any significant flaws are always noted in the description. All garments are mended, cleaned and ready to wear unless otherwise noted.
COLOR: Deep navy blue with black accents
MORE INFORMATION: No maker or contents labels. Appears to be made of cotton faille or broadcloth with silk accents and lining.
