Positively delicious 1940s cocktail dress done in a lovely rayon crepe and adorned with layers upon layers of fringe! This dress features a v-neckline, short sleeves, nipped waist and a-line skirt with a bit of movement around the hem. Don her for a night at the absinthe club in the old mansion. Unlined, slightly sheer, side button + hook & eye closure.
MEASUREMENTS: (taken with garment lying flat; bust, waist & hips doubled for your convenience) →shoulder to shoulder: 14.5 inches →bust: 36 inches →waist: 25 inches →hips: 32 inches →shoulder to waist (bodice) length: 16.5 inches →waist to hem (skirt) length: 26 inches →overall length: 42.5 inches →sleeve length: 8 inches
ESTIMATED SIZE: X-Small to Small
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition with some small things to note. It looks as though the shoulder pads were replaced sometime in the 80s-90s; they're the larger, pillow-y kind. They can easily be removed with two snips, but wanted to leave that option to you. It looks like a zipper or side snaps were taken out and a small expansion panel was added, leaving us with the button closure currently on the dress. A few interior hand repairs. Nothing visible from the outside while worn, but worth noting! Fringe is intact and I don't see much end fraying at all. Please keep in mind this is a vintage garment, which means minor signs of wear are to be expected. Any significant flaws are always noted in the description. All garments are mended, cleaned and ready to wear unless otherwise noted.
MORE INFORMATION: No maker or contents labels. Appears to be made of a rayon crepe. Dry clean only.
PLEASE NOTE: Black Cat Clothiers cannot accept returns due to fit. Please compare the detailed measurements noted above to one of your garments that fits you well. Additionally, all of our clothing is pre-owned and vintage/antique, which means each piece may feature minor signs of wear, as noted in the description. To learn more, please view our store policies.
