As is but still decadent and divine 1940s lace dressing gown featuring a button-up front, large collar, puff sleeves, fawn-colored lace, a blush rayon lining and purple satin tie sash. By Bullock's, a well-respected and high-end department store that dominated Southern California in the early 1900s. Too glamorous to just stay home in! Fully lined, button closure at bust and snap closures at waist.
MEASUREMENTS: (taken with garment lying flat; bust, waist & hips doubled for your convenience) →shoulder to shoulder: 15 inches →bust: 36 inches →waist: 28 inches →hips: 34 inches →length: 57 inches
ESTIMATED SIZE: Small to Medium
CONDITION: Good, as-is vintage condition. The nylon lace outer is strong and in remarkably good condition with only a few tiny breaks here and there, and a hole about the size of a dime near the waist. However, the lining is shattered and torn throughout, and will need to be replaced. This piece is not wearable as-is because the lining will tear on you! It may be acceptable for a photo shoot, but that's about it. It will be much sturdier even when the lining is just removed. The satin waist tie has large stains and water damage, which is not particularly noticeable when worn, and adds an interesting watercolor look, but you may wish to remove it, too. This is a lovely piece that deserves to be restored! Please keep in mind this is a vintage garment, which means minor signs of wear are to be expected. Any significant flaws are always noted in the description. All garments are mended, cleaned and ready to wear unless otherwise noted.
