1970s black knit maxi dress featuring a scoop neckline, sweeping skirt, sleeveless bodice and gold braiding detail. Underarm staining on the gold braid; appears to just be a chemical reaction of the fiber of the braid to perspiration/warmth. The dress has been cleaned and the stain has been treated; the main discoloration lightened dramatically, but a patina remains from oxidization. It's a bit more noticeable in person than in photos. The dress is otherwise lovely and timeless with a few small pulls. Back zip.
