Ethereal early 1900s Edwardian dress made from the finest cotton lawn and dripping in those perfect Victorian details. This dress features lace details throughout, particularly beautiful on the bodice, slight trumpet sleeves, and a tiered skirt with decorative lace medallions. Pair her with a silk velvet duster and dripping jewels. Unlined, slightly sheer, snap closures at front.
MEASUREMENTS: (taken with garment lying flat; bust, waist & hips doubled for your convenience) →shoulder to shoulder: 17 inches →bust: 42 inches →waist: 30 inches →hips: free →length: 48 inches →sleeve length: 15.5 inches
ESTIMATED SIZE: Medium; please note you'll need to step into this garment or pull it over your head. Pinned on dressform.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. This garment is structurally sound but sold as-is due to the holes in the skirt. This dress came to me with tons of small to medium holes throughout the skirt. A few in the back had been repaired already, but not exactly well, in my opinion. Due to the delicate nature of the fabric, I did not pull these repairs out, but did darn the rest of the larger holes. Because the material is so thin, the darning is noticeable, see photos. This garment has beautiful details, is perfectly wearable if you don't mind flaws and is in a rare larger size, which is why I'm offering it for your consideration. I almost kept it for myself! Please keep in mind this is a vintage garment, which means minor signs of wear are to be expected. Any significant flaws are always noted in the description. All garments are mended, cleaned and ready to wear unless otherwise noted.
MORE INFORMATION: No maker or contents labels. Likely homemade. Feels like a very thin cotton lawn.
PLEASE NOTE: Black Cat Clothiers cannot accept returns due to fit. Please compare the detailed measurements noted above to one of your garments that fits you well. Additionally, all of our clothing is pre-owned and vintage/antique, which means each piece may feature minor signs of wear, as noted in the description. To learn more, please view our store policies.
